Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Bayou Classic® outdoor cooking and kitchenware.

What materials are used in Bayou Classic® cookware?

Our products are crafted from high-quality materials including heavy-duty stainless steel, durable cast iron, and commercial-grade aluminum to ensure long-lasting performance in both indoor and outdoor settings.

How do I season my new cast iron cookware?

To season your cast iron, wash it with mild soapy water, dry it completely, and apply a thin layer of vegetable oil. Bake it in the oven at 350°F for one hour and let it cool. Repeat this process regularly to maintain a non-stick surface.

What is your shipping policy for oversized items?

Standard shipping is available for most items. For oversized products like large stockpots and outdoor cookers, we use specialized freight carriers to ensure safe delivery. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.

Can I use Bayou Classic® burners with natural gas?

Most of our outdoor cookers are designed specifically for liquid propane. Using natural gas requires a specific conversion kit and should only be performed by a professional to ensure safety and proper heat output.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return policy for unused items in their original packaging. Please contact our customer service team to initiate a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before shipping any products back to us.

Do Bayou Classic® products come with a warranty?

Yes, our products typically carry a one-year limited warranty against manufacturer defects. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, rust on cast iron, or damage caused by improper use.
